The TKF cables had a rather thick layer of Kevlar around the bundles, so cutting into the fibers was no easy task, but with the Corning cables that have no Kevlar around them we are worried to produce a lot of unwanted splices, by cutting it. Normaly we can jet 192f cables with not a single Bar of pressure for 400m with 90-110m/min, but today we were only able to do 100m with 0 Bar and 500m with 5 Bar, only at 70-55m/min.īut those results aren't the only thing that worries me. The 144f cables are way slimmer than the TKF ones, so we have great jetting results (3000m with one single Minijet), about 2x longer than with TKF, but the 192f one we tried today was another story.
Now the customer bought Corning cables since the bid was the lowest and we have mixed feelings. Great results in terms of jetting into 14mm tubes.
